Terminal Thoughts
Where does the time go?
Is it where the money flows?
When will the need for goals slow to a stop
These feelings stack up
its weighing a lot
It’s not what I got, it's the things that I do
Its costing me a lot, but what else would I do
Your life is a copy and paste of someone else
I might think with haste, thoughts ringing like a bell
In my head, I’m still in my bed
Maybe I’m just overwhelmed with all red
Said it all, im left bouncing like a ball
Look at yall, green with jealousy
Peeling away the lies, find the center of honesty
Alone most of the time looking for integrity
Intuitive like a book, but I won’t be red
Blue like I’m cool, just heavy like lead
King like i'm George ain’t no ignoring
Sing like I’m orange, going to Florence, foreign.
Fast driving like lighting, elevated, I’m soaring.
At last I reach my destination
Besieged, always known i’ve been destined
To break free from the hold, no hesitation
Lately thinking about becoming something new
Few choices I got all different hues
Made the news in my city I want to go back
Fade to black, close the curtains, thank you.

I love writing like this. When I write one line I feel I have to keep the flow going. This was the most fun I've had writing poetry in a long time.
