Reaching for the Sun
I long for the sun
Its beauty and luminous light
It guides me even when the sun bleeds into night
It shows me that there is nothing to be afraid of
That the world is merely a glove
All at your fingertips
I long for the sun
Yet
I can’t seem to reach the sun
No matter how hard I try
No matter how far I walk
I can’t seem to touch it
All I can do is pray and hope
That one day
I will be able to cope
With the thought of not being able to reach the sun

It is a piece about hope and the sun is a symbol of life and how people struggle to keep going but there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
