Let Us Spread Our Wings Again
I wake to a reed playing in the distance,
A girl laughing with an Iris in her hand,
A Cardinal singing with persistence,
While the sun reaches out to the world.
Renewed,
I hop out of bed, beginning to dress.
Today, a new day has started,
I fancy a flowr’y rose garden,
And step into the dazzling daylight.
Outside my window,
An Eagle swoops up into the orange horizon,
Followed by Birds circling and flying in rows,
While the breeze brings the warm spring air to the Hatchlings.
I see children holding hands while dancing in a circle,
A brother and sister prancing side by side.
Today, the world feels different:
The sun shines brighter,
The grass glistens with lights,
And the crisp, warm air envelops me.
Before, the air was nebulous and dense,
The world, dark and gray,
And the stars had lost their luster.
Ere, we grew silent and sad,
For our hearts were torn and languid,
Our lives turned reclusive and alone,
But tomorrow brings a new world of healing.
Intrepid and together,
We face the future with hope in our hearts.
Let our souls scintillate and flourish,
To open our minds and carve a new path.
