Visible Me
I never felt like I belonged
Always felt out of place watching the people around me
I held my head down barely meeting the eyes of the people I spoke with
I felt like I was invisible for the longest time
When I open the book my whole world turns
I know who I am as I grasp the familiar pages
The book allows me to put everything else on hold and enjoy the moment
To absorb myself in its crisp pages leaving me breath taken
It feels like I am a different person
It feels like I can be who I truly am
It feels as though I can finally breathe
It feels like I am now alive
I am no longer invisible
Life is too short to not be yourself
I follow my heart and appreciate every moment because of you
You helped lift me up when I was too terrified to realize I'd fallen down
