goodbye

it is that dark shadow that creeps up to us when we least expect it
stealing away the moments
leaving with no goodbye
why must we live in a world that could end any day
or is that the beauty of it?
but how can it be beautiful when it leaves holes to big to ever fill again
when you are left instead, with piles of rotting flowers
why live the story if we already know how it will end?
is it worth it?
even just the few years? or however long you get
i don't know
all i know is that i hate saying goodbye
