"I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." -Philippians 1:6

I trusted her again

Her sea of doubt pulled me in

I can’t believe

I’m right back where I started

She pulling others away from me again

and yet I still let her in

I let myself slip

Put myself back in her grip

Why do I let her win?

When she swears she’s against sin

But every time

It’s another lie again

I can no longer help myself

I put myself in too deep

I can feel her grip getting tighter

Her hands tight around my neck

I’m falling back

And no one can catch me

I’m breaking like a puzzle

throw at the wall

You can try to put me back together

Try to make me have the same smile

But I’ve lost a puzzle piece or two

While I was just trying to please you

When you hold me underwater

But turn it around and twist my mind

you can put words in my mouth

and no one questions

She’s the perfect little angel

And I’m the broken, big puzzle.
