Fear
Shuffle, Shuffle Shuffle came from outside my door. It was precisely 2:00 AM and I had just heard a sound outside my door. I seemed to shrink into my blankets and sheets thinking that if I thought about small things I could become smaller. The sound was peculiar and reminded me of an INTRUDER. I tried to slow my breathing and calm the lord of wind that was building in my lungs. I couldn’t even think the alarms in my brain were screaming with a code red. I knew I needed to face my fear but the prospect of it seemed to overcome any chance of facing anything. Now it's 3:00 AM.
I am still sitting in my bed like a dead body but a scared dead body. Finally I built up the courage to look outside my door. I creeped over to the wooden frame and slowly twisted the handle. I looked left and I looked right and on both sides was an empty hallway. I let out a sigh of relief until I heard hurried footsteps headed towards me. I was frozen with fear watching the shadow of a humanoid figure slide up the wall.

This is another piece to my saga about emotions. I tried to make this one more humorous.
