Beating Heart
I am alone with the beating of my heart,
each beat represents pain
What used to be is gone
How I sit alone listening to the beat
Of my heart How I sit alone, I think
How it was all i lie he never cared every moment we had
Meant the world to me but absolutely nothing to you.
Love isn't for the weak, giving your heart to someone is so innocent
Until your heart shatters into a million small pieces and all you can feel is
Weight in your chest.
sit alone and all I can feel is pain, thump thump
Each thump hurts

I feel this <3 I love that you posted this, it's amazing
Originally this poem was really difficult for me to share because it's so personal and venerable, but then as I grew as a poet I learned that embracing the venerability of my poem is beautiful.
