don’t let the good times
cover the bad
soak in those moments
but never feel sad
to have felt such joy
is a blessing alone
let go of that boy
put down that phone
you’re stronger than this
stronger than you even know
remember that smile of his
then simply let go
the thing about love
is you can do it from a distance
you can still pray for his growth
he’s not the reason for your existence
to love and have lost
doesn’t have to be so glum
don’t regret the love you gave
he’s simply not the one
