Together Once More
I see her from afar, sometimes closer
You can’t tell what she’s thinking but I wonder
Will I ever not know her?
Will our bond ever asunder?
She’s not me and I am not her,
but I see her in me, slightly younger
In the color of our skin that has been kissed by the sun
In the shiny dark hair that lays on our head
In the silver ornament that encompasses our wrists, defining ourselves from the rest
Yet we couldn’t be more unique, even by the way we speak
Twins, they say, but sisters are shown, bound by blood to never be alone
She says we wouldn’t be friends, hell, we’d be strangers without that blood
But I would say otherwise
For this blood helped grow a bud
A bud of love that many could recognize,
even with the slightest glance, there came a chance
For now that my eyes have laid on yours
I would well endure
Everything it took for us to be together once more

For someone incredibly special I couldn't live without. As different as we might be, we bond together so perfectly.
