Summer Child
A child in summer is like a nightmare
in a parents mind
Crazy, loud, wake up early
the child is always around
Counting down the days till school
seems like never ending doom
Until finally it rolls around
and the parents miss
the sound of their child playing in their room

This poem is about how much a parent misses a child once summer is over, even though during the summer they could have been annoyed with them.
