I have finished the race against time

I have made it to senior year

I have gotten up everyday, excited to learn something new

I have put a beaming smile on my face and am ready to take on the day

I have made my short, younger self proud

I put my best foot forward, just as my parents told me 

I have completed a few college applications, being sure to delicately checking every detail

I have worked very hard to get to this point
