I have always been a player
I was the smallest on the long thick grass
I was the fastest and quickest point prancing through the short blades
I was the best known
I was the most memorable in my own bright green world
I was honored and remembered through the ages
I was always running like a wolf in a meadow
I am not the fastest or the quickest
But I am jumping out of the tall thick grass like a deer
I am not the point of what was before
But I am the last man of who I am now
I am still a player
I will be the strongest player still standing though the rough
I will be the flashing light everyone watches
I will be white flash across your eye
I will be playing for the bright ball glimmering in the glass
I will be shining star standing at the highest point reachable
I will be him
