I will be the one you truly love, 

but always in secret.

Never in the gleaming sunlight of day, 

every morning you raise with me, 

darling I will continue to be

the discouraging echo 

behind your certainties. 


with a million broken filaments; 

with a million shattered edges 

all tiptoeing on a single tightrope

I will continue to be 

the burning stain 

hidden in your history


Even though I know,

that you wouldn’t even dare to whisper 

what my heart wants you to scream.
