Ode to the AR 15
POP, POP, POP!
These are the beautiful sounds in which the AR 15 makes,
When of course shooting children in their schools.
Innocent elementary school children who just wanted to play with toys.
Middle schoolers who just wanted to see their friends.
High school seniors who just wanted to go off to college.
Children who could have grown up and done something great for this sick world.
But instead they were robbed of that opportunity.
A sick man robbed them of that opportunity.
With the weapon of choice,
(Drum roll please)
The AR15!
A weapon in which he should have never been able to purchase.
But in this country sex toys are more regulated than guns (in some states).
Our “second amendment right” is more important than our children.
Why an 18-year-old needs not one, but two AR 15’s is beyond me.
But what's even more far fetched than that is the legislators that do nothing to stop this.
Legislators who do nothing to protect our children.
Children’s blood now falls on their hands.
But they just wash it away with the tears of the children's parents.
The river of bloody tears that run through this country,
Just as blood runs through the body.
So thank you AR 15.
Thank you for destroying so many lives.
Hopefully you’ll be locked away for good,
and kept out of the hands of the public.
But until then I know you’ll be busy.
Busy taking the lives of children.
Children that could’ve grown up and put you away.
So thank you for all you have done.
But your time is up.
Change is coming.
