Lots of the time I don't like me

If I had to choose I'd rather be...

Someone more talented 

With much more grace

Someone with a prettier face

I spend most of my day

Covering my mistakes 

A little thing here or there 

That isn't in the right place 

This isn't just me 

It's everyone on land and at sea

Stuck in an "I'd rather be"

As sad as it seems 

This is also unhealthy

Next time you stare at someone else

Know that you're being viewed too

By someone thinking "I wish I were you"

This is where everyone trips 

The fact they have so much more than they witness 

So stop watching someone else

And start to see 

Never say "I'd rather be"
