The thing about high school is
There are so much history in those buildings
once everything to a boy’s life
once enough to break an everlasting relationship
once changed a life-long friend

The stories, kept in poems like these,
or letters that never made it to the receiver,
left far behind by the ambitious
who traveled across the ocean,
uncalled by the takers,
fades into the memories of those damaged,
with none ever came back to pay a visit.

And the successors,
they step on the them,
let the same story unfold
right in front of their eyes.
They laugh and they cry
tears of the same lies.

It goes on and on.
