Heartbreak Anniversary
First row on your contact list
Second importance was my absence
A last Christmas story that is
no longer being referenced on my notepad
But today
On the half birthday of something bitter
When the bleachers are in mists and darkness
When the the tennis courts are blessed by violent showers
When god sends me home with the air of hot summer
When the poetry on my notepad remains undone
You light up a fire in me
smelling of wood instead of petroleum
again

This piece of poetry is about a heartbreak anniversary turns into a getting back together moment that took place in high school.
I included visuals of high school life, for example, bleachers and notepads. I wish to capture the fragments of fleeting feelings of my teenage years, with an intention to make them remain eternally.
