CRASH

My foot slaps the ground as I urge the board to get more speed. The wind unsuccessfully tries to warn me by blowing gusts of wind against my chest. My wheels whirr as they grind into the street.
AHH!
The concrete had betrayed me. A crack stretched out and grabbed one of my wheels. The board halted and launched me over, soaring over ants and discarded cigarette buds until I made inevitable contact with the concrete.
CRACK!
The board hesitantly rolled towards me, as if in apology. No apology could make up for my mangled leg.
