Unequal Nuturing
I told you to stop before it was too late,
You didn’t heed the warnings provided to you,
You didn’t listen to my worries,
Now you are gone.
The sweet love given every morning,
By the ways of kisses and hugs,
Are now tears and bent knees
Falling to the floor, in memory
The memories are always rooted back to,
The way the sun kissed your checks,
The way your hair sailed with the sun,
Or the way you would laugh, over the little things.
Nothing could stop you,
Your strength was enough to stop a train,
And rotate the Earth clockwise.
Though you told me to live on,
I find it hard to live without remembering you,
Your ways of cooking in the kitchen,
Your confertors, that are your favorite colour,
Your happy birthday letter from 5 years ago.
Your presence will never be replaced,
Like the delicious smell of homemade food,
I know you are happy,
I hope you will forever keep that happiness,
Just wait for me.
