Broken and Burning

you helped me off the ground,
only to push me back down.
you took my shattered heart
and lit it on fire.
now that fire spreads through my body,
burning any chance of happiness i have.
i helped you through your worst
only to be put on a shelf until you needed me again.
now your voice rings through my ears
making me regret ever loving you.

I love this poem so much. You wrote it perfectly and made it so relatable!
Writing this peace helped me remove myself from a very toxic relationship.
