What does the word homeless mean?

Huddled shivering, stars above, gnawing hunger,

Homelessness is someone who lives on the streets.

Without running water, or food to eat

Being sheltered or unsheltered is how you describe 

Someone without a home

Like a bird without a nest

Or a tree in which to rest

What causes people to become homeless?

Lack of affordable housing, like negative effects 

Untreated mental illnesses, not being treated

Or most of all insufficient funding, not being able 

To pay for your groceries or your house.

Helpless, houseless, hopeless

Everywhere you look there is someone who needs

A home, the most common age for being homeless

Is 37-46 year olds when you think they are settled most

Who is most affected by homelessness?

Single adults are affected the most and typically 

The nationality is African American

Who thought the color of your skin can have such an impact?

The number of homeless people

Around the world it is 2 percent now, 

I think that is mindblowing,

This is equal to the people of Russia.

Volunteering at homeless shelters

Giving clothes, or food or your time

Help those who need it the most.
