"I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." -Philippians 1:6

Crying in the bathroom

She can’t take it anymore

She reaches for her blade

And feels the cut against her skin

She feels something finally

Another form of pain

The slit feels better than anything

Then the sting of realization

Hits her harder than ever before

She cut her wrists

Over the wrong scar

She bleeding and it wont stop

She reaches for her phone

She doesn’t wanna die

Mom doesn’t know

What her men do

So she texts her boyfriend

In spite of her promise

“I love you with my body, heart, and soul to death”

He doesn’t care

She feels pain in her chest

She’s gasping for air

She can’t reach it

She’s too far deep

And then he’s here

He’s screaming “Somebody call an ambulance!”

Drifting in and out I go

I’m suddenly surrounded by whiteness,

A hospital

She doesn’t know what’s happened

Is it a murder scene?

It hits her hard

She realizes she broke it

She broke her promise

She broke his heart..

Then she’s gone

And the life is taken out of her

All because of a blade

Visit https://www.teenink.com/HealthResources if you or a loved one is feeling depressed, overwhelmed or suicidal.

I'm currently 13 years old, but am a very talented writer and love to do it. This is also kind of based on the song Baby Don't Cut by Bmike, and how I think the girl reacted to him making her promise.
