When white eyes cry
gun shots become merely noise
blood spilt and breaths lost
are just accidents
When white eyes cry
pity fills the room
a black life lost but
why would you ruin a bloodline of hate
When white eyes cry
evidence is simply discarded
an eyewitness is not enough
to avoid the pain of another soul lost too young
When white eyes cry
because they always will
we dive back into a cycle of heartbreak
with a substantial lack of transparent justice
all because white eyes will always cry
