Soft and velvety
It covers me in protection
My childhood fortitude
A place to be safe
Warmth- Oh so comforting
My blanket is my safety
My comfort
My confidant
It brings me back to my childhood
Torn
But like a blanket it too can be fixed
It can be helped and made whole again
My blanket is my home

We all find different things comforting, some find talking, hugging, or taking a walk. I find snuggling up in a nice blanket nostalgic, it takes me back to my childhood. It protected me from the outside world. When I was in my blanket everything happening seemed to dissapear. I was happy.
