Changing
Times flies, plenty change, little remains,
I barely recognize which part.
A once deserted wasteland,
filled now with neon and metal.
Recalling my first memory,
The city was an undeveloped rural district.
Vehicles speed past rolling up dust clouds.
Ubiquiti greenery thrives in the sun.
Time flies, and the scenery refreshes.
Too little remains to recognize an old memory.
The high-rise building break from the earth.
Yet, nature is trapped on the terrace.
From scratch to development,
Though time and humans
can change everything,
they cannot eliminate everything.
Life persists and continues
Humanity questions what is to come
The past holds the secrets
Helping navigate what’s ahead

I have seen the streets change through the times, so I want to write a poem about time through my streets.
