Borrowed Sanity
Fleeting and sweet- enveloping me in a gentle warmth
House of red, orange and xanthous briefly flashed in front me
Soft caresses, laying in a mother's bosom
Flashes of picturesque dreams. . .
Flowing fields off flitting fairies bring forth visions of-
Firelight fairies gracefully floating about freely
Carried by the wind towards neverending nirvana
Seeping through me, me? No no no no no no!
Thick viscous slow, leaving through every pore
Becoming cold, empty, dragging on my very soul
Pulling me apart, warmth far gone, beautiful scene
Evaporate tenderness completely askew
Sludge seeping into me replacing the dreams
Barren landscapes perpetuated by all manner of unknown scheming
Evil planning and plotting while prowling through ashed domain
How fleeting the hope that enveloped me
Written in a time when I became aware of hte cruelty of life and that some battle are hard fought but eventually lost. And that the bright light that we see as hope is often further than we originaly anticipated which can lead to deserved dissapointment.
