The turkeys gobble,
And the pots rattle,
Thanksgiving time is near!
Mashed potatoes,
Drowned in gravy,
Pies on top of pies,
Topped with whipped cream.
But this day,
Is more than just for treats,
It’s about,
Family and friends,
Gathering together,
To say their thanks,
And to enjoy,
A family feast.

I'm not looking forward to all the happy thanksgiving talk this year, because it brings back painful memories, but at least Christmas is coming, and that's my favorite.
