Last Words of Winter
The snow began to melt.
The icicles began to trickle
away too fast.
The frost began to fade.
Winter lifted it's sorrowful
eyes toward the burning Sun.
A shivering tear escaped
her eye.
Oh how you agonize
and mock me, Winter
whispered up towards
the Sun.
The Sun wiped the
brow of Winter and
smiled at the cold.
'Till next year frozen one.
The Sun nodded in
approval as Winter melted
into the blue nutrients
for the blooming flowers.
Spring fluttered her
eyes as she awoke from
her slumber.
'Till next year frozen one.
