Stained Glass

Looking toward the glass that is stained,
Wondering why it is called such.
Stained has such a negative connotation,
Something that is so difficult to remove.
Glass has no negative connotation,
But most people refer to it as broken?
Stained glass has such a bad feeling.
Until you sit in it’s colorful shadow,
Shrouded in it’s rainbows.
Watching the hues dance along my skin,
As I lie watching the Sun filter through.
The assumption you held all along,
Trickles and fades.
And you wonder why the stain,
Is so difficult to wash away.
