Logophile
I am a fervent habitué
of the manna that is the thesaurus.
Because when I find an
indescribably consummate
or wondrously foreign word--
verbum perfectum--
My blood stops flowing
and starts to frolic in my veins;
my irises flush with pupils,
and air reeks of eunoia.
My greatest finds
are treasured deep within
and never to be uttered,
as they are far too exquisite
to touch my unworthy lips
or spring from my fingertips.
