Friends
What was I thinking, why do they matter!? Why do I care so much when they couldn't care less??
Who are they to me, if not my friends? Simply a contact, an acquaintance, a neighbor at best.
Is it worth it? The pain and sorrow? To have a friend for just a while, until feelings go north and good times go south.
Ask me again when this is all over, when there is a chance that I found my match, my forever companion be it a, he or an her, older, younger, just my age, just my type. Unimportant, irrelevant, outdated information.
We are nothing to all, but EVERYTHING to each other.
This poem was written shortly after I discovered that the friends I called "important", aren't all who I thought they were. Actually my best friend abandoned me for someone else in my time of need, so you can bet I was feel something. Hahaha.
