He was rude
Careless and harsh

He ruined her
The little girl inside me

I used to dance
And play
Carefree
and happy

You ruined me

Your dark hair
And soulless eyes
Scare me the most

Your booming voice
And hatred
Scarred me

A once bubbly girl
Became dark inside

Instead of
Talking
and Laughing

She read books
Escaped reality
Made worlds inside her head

A girl who trusted
Now lives
in fear

A girl
With green eyes
and Blonde hair

Doesn't recognize
Herself in the mirror

Dark talons dragging her down
Ghosts of the past haunting her
And

You're
The
Cause

A man
Who she trusted
Who she loved

You were supposed
To protect
Love
and guide

You were supposed
To be my father

But instead
You were
My demon

You broke
The little girl inside
The girl who loved
Sunny days
Playing in the grass
Coloring
and running wild

She now
Loves the rain
Finds comfort with the Thunder
listens to loud music
Hides from life
scared to trust
And scared to move on

You ruined me
You ruined
The little girl
I was supposed to be

These are my feelings as I try to move on. As I try to close this chapter of my past, in hopes I can burn it.
