Through the deafening silence of my mind

haunting me with its overwhelming quietness

Encourage me to take the long path

of an unexpected journey

It’s a cold narrow path I’m walking right now,

I’m heading straight inspite of the circuitious shortcuts connected to it

I’m not unprepared

But I’m no expert too

All I see is the long road ahead

it is winter time

I get scared sometimes with the sound of cold breeze

But I feel warm too, just the next minute

There is sun in the sky

but there isn’t any sunlight

due to the cover of clouds,

but I feel your warmth

in my heart

Motivating me to take just one more step

I’m still walking

the end is not near yet

but I’ve come a long way

I feel the winter coming to an end soon

I’ll still be moving forward though,

step by step

with you in me
