There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature—the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter. —Rachel Carson

Birdcall, a cacaphony of noise,

Water, cascading down cliff edges,

Tumbling fearlessly,

Got nothing to loose,

Opaque water, bubbling happily,

Steam rises above the crystal waves,

Like a cloud it forms,

And floats there,

Mysteries behind nature,

They're more than we can ever know,

Yet they are there,

To tease us or intrigue us?

Crashing down to the lake below,

Waterfall so high,

And through all the foam and the waves,

A rainbow can just be seen,

Hidden by trees,

Waving over the lake,

Yearning to see their emerald reflections,

In the water below,

The rippling water,

It glistens in the sunlight,

The rays of sun,

Even they realise this place,

Is more than just a lake,

Is a home,

To nature itself,

A pristine example of what the world was,

Before the humans came along.

Yeah I don't really like this poem, I have got to admit it is one of my worst.
