Eleven Thoughts On Wind And Women
I
her voice ripples through my chest
just as the wind shakes the grass around us
II
skirts blowing in the breeze
exposing our hidden scars
III
she bikes down the hill
short hair blowing in the breeze
wonder fills her basket today
IV
the strength of a woman
cannot be shaken
by the lies of another
V
immovable as the stone
unstoppable as the wind
VI
my insecurities scream in my ears
a roaring gust
knocking over my confidence
like dominoes
VII
wind brushes my face
awakes me from this dream world
she fades from view
IX
walking through the graveyard with her
our hands are pulled together
the force is not magnetic
but gentle
like the autumn breeze
blowing
X
the mother weeps
for she knows
the storm will take her daughter
away
XI
an ever present force in my life
swaying
my emotions
my decisions
