Diamonds areN't Rare.
Diamonds aren't rare.
They're simply compressed clumps of crude coal,
refined and jazzed up by the Earth
to create something beautiful.
Despite this, diamonds are glorified.
Yes, they are mesmerizing little jewels,
but by no means are they uncommon.
No, we simply pretend they are.
We tell all of the little crystals
and rocks and minerals
that "You can't be a diamond!
diamonds are too
Rare!"
Meanwhile, all the little crystals
and minerals
and rocks
are,
for the most part,
just like diamonds.
They may not all be as beautiful,
or hypnotic,
but they're not . . .
. . .y'know . . .
Bum-f*ck ugly.
They're still beautiful.
and yet
they still worship
and admire
The Diamonds.
They always
Always
seem to forget
that
Diamonds areN't Rare.
Diamonds.
