Dear Society
A society ran by stereotypes
A pandemic ravaging the world
Peaceful protests turn to riots
Riots that destroy democracy
Over a century later
Still fighting for equality
Police trusted with guns
Only to prey on innocents
Americans have destroyed
What we call “democracy”
As groups charge the capitol
Singing Trump 2020
After the Cheeto, came another male
Women’s future not even in their hands
Abortion at risk and don’t get me started
On a dress code directed at women
A dress code designed to not distract boys
God forbid, I show my shoulders
And actually, wear something weather appropriate
Dear Society, we are slowly destroying ourselves
They tell us, just keep your heads down
Because this is the society we live in
