I write my relapses

why do I spread something joyful
and then cry legible tears?
why do I pull words from a springtime walk
only to lose hope
one poem later?
my mind is not a simple place to be
I've decided that what's best for me
is to write exactly what I feel
I write my blessings
epiphanies
and relapses
because that
is exactly how I want to heal

I tend to do most of my writing at low points in my life. The creativity comes naturally when I've got something bottled up in my mind. When it isn't a relapse, it's often a beautiful little blessing or epiphany that I just can't help sharing.
