You Can't Write a Poem about Poetry
My similes are as cool as a cucumber,
My metaphors with a heart of gold,
My personification smiles through the night,
Only my heart knows.
My onomatopoeia has a sizzle and buzz,
My rhyme scheme ends with a high,
My end rhyme is overrated,
But that's to your suprise.
My imagery is peaceful and warm,
My alliteration always allows allumination,
But sadly my assonance is on a permanent vacation.

This is a piece I wrote in creative writing class. I was trying to be silly, but at the same time convey figurative language.
