A petal falls

as the way a person falls

the person gets back up but the petal withers away

like a person letting go slowly

she tries to keep emotions at bay but the tide gets closer with every wave

another petal falls as she does but this time

something breaks inside her

she yearns to be set free but her emotions keep her away

scared of what others will think 

she hides away

the world is full of falling petals and eventually they are all gone

but she takes a step today and makes a new petal

she has come out of her shell to breakaway

from the world that casts so much hate

where a petal can only wither away.
