Woes Worn By Women
The movement is moved by the creators’ legacy,
shifting a change once controlled by the dominance of the opposed
Unseen and covered like the face behind the makeup
manipulated and ceased to be displayed
Insignificance measured by nothing more than mere differences
rather than compelling similarities
Stakeholders of triumph, fortitude, and grace
all the while maintaining an effervescent pace
collectively we call women,
yet warriors working diligently within
Bred by callus confrontation
but also pivotal prominence
Indestructible an understatement amidst
climbing on the back of the prelude of success
and leaving room for the next daunting guess
while sitting pretty in her gleaming dress
Challengers and conquerers,
dreamers and doers,
fighters and frontrunners
Influx of confidence rendered through generations
also perceived as the trademark of empowerment
Women, warriors, wear these woes
beautifully, candidly like none have ever before
