Understanding the clouds in your mind allows the sun in your heart to rise

Dear Teenage Girl,

I wonder what colors I’ll see if I can view the world from your eyes

You hold up so effortlessly

But the effort makes you die

Tell me each mirror you see isn’t telling you toxic lies

Cause your silk red face is soaking piercing cries

I hope you see yellow circling your mind

Don’t want to see red burning the delicate coals behind your eyes

God help me if there’s green stuck between your teeth

Right now there’s no way for me to see underneath

I wonder if you’re sitting now, helpless in your room

Cause I feel your heart screaming but no words are falling through

If a frigid grey tear is approaching towards your lips

Swear to me it’s not about the size of your perfect hips

Being a teenage girl is hard. Different insecurities can sneak up on you and hinder your abilities to perceive yourself in the beautiful light in which truly are seen in.
