Found true love, married someone else
The story goes she never forgave him
for not letting her near the bread
when he let me
for crying when he was whipped
for not remembering her birthday
when he knew mine
she is lascivious and vulgar
she is ambitious and arrogant
I could not believe what I was seeing
does she resemble me?
do I just hope that because she's so beautiful
she makes me wonder
do I deserve respect?
do I deserve love?
I have a daydream in which I'm a queen
straight out of an epic fantasy novel
and my love is right by my side
