Mindful
Mindful.
One little word
that can mean so many little things.
Mindful is remembering your friends’ birthdays.
Mindful is being aware of your surroundings.
Mindful is thinking about what you say before saying it.
Mindful can mean an infinite amount of seemingly insignificant things,
things that you normally wouldn’t think twice about.
But it can also mean thinking more critically about the things that you already put thought into.
Mindful is taking what seems to be an unfavorable situation and thinking it through from a different perspective.
It’s putting yourself in other people’s shoes when things don’t go your way.
It’s realizing that time spent by yourself is not wasted time.
But above all else
Mindful is keeping yourself in check.
It’s not getting so caught up in your head that you start believing in your own fallacies.
It’s having the courage to live life in the moment without thinking “what if”.
Because in reality,
isn’t that what we’re all trying to do?
Enjoy our lives without wondering how we could have made them better?
