Suffocation

Lived in cage for years,
My wings clipped, had dried tears.
I had no way to escape from cruel surroundings,
So death welcomed me without any boundings.
I don't suffocate under the ground,
Like I suffocated in four walls.
Wish I was alive to tell you all,
But that's the ending of life's call.

This poetry is dedicated to women all around the world who experience patriarchy in households and who are helpless in misogynistic surroundings. I originally wrote it when I experienced harsh words and cold behaviour from my family.
