Not always is there something that you are going to learn. Sometimes a lesson you are taught is meant for someone else to earn:

You taught me to see
You taught me to learn
We share the same past
But you have seen the future
So you teach me to laugh
And I teach you to be open

You taught me to be bold
You taught me to set the start button and go
We were wired the same
But you have seen the future
So you teach me to love
And I teach you to trust again
Matthew,
You taught me to smile
You taught me to have fun
We love the same way
But you have seen the future
So you teach me to be myself
And I teach you to not stress
