My Hero
My dear hero
My hero is not iron man nor superman
She is quite small in size
So small, she’s invisible
Hides her grief and pain
So well, she makes other people laugh and smile
My hero is not so smart
People laugh at her sometimes
But she still keeps her composure
I wonder why she smiles so much
Her smile is beautiful and perfect
One sight of her smile, you will fall in love
When she cries, the whole world cries
Her cries are soft and gentle
It is as heartbreaking yet beautiful to see
When I see her cry, I start to cry
She is as hardworking as any man
So hard, she works day and night
She is the one who keeps a roof above my head
Some days, I don't see her that much
In those days, I feel the most loneliness
But I know she is working for my happiness
Her job being a hero doesn’t end when she comes back home
She still makes dinner
And when everyone falls asleep
She stays up late and pays the bills
She may not know I’m awake but I hear it all
With all of the sacrifices, she has done
She still nurtured me
Always taught me from right to wrong
Taught me to be strong and brave
And protected me, when I was scared the most
She is not perfect but neither is superman
I know I won’t have her forever
But her love will always be in my heart till the day I die
I am my mother’s creation
I am her legacy
I am her blood
I am her sweat
I am her tears
I am her daughter
And all that I am, is because of my heroic mother
