You.
You look at me
But I don't understand
Why would you see a mirror,
When there's a work of art in your view?
You.
You believe that I am you
With no intent to dissatisfy,
I must inform you that you are wrong
We are not the same
I.
I am me
And maybe that's all I'll ever be
My quirks and bad habits have molded
A thing that no one else can shape
I.
I have made my mistakes
And served my dues
Although imperfect,
My life is not a right to you
So sorry to let you down,
But mimicking you has made me frown
To live my life,
I must be free
Please set me free
