Afraid to look in eyes

Loud noises make me cry 

Feels like I’m living a lie

That’s the Asperger’s

I stutter when I talk

Head down when I walk

That can be chalked up

To the Asperger’s 

Uncomfortable to look

When I have my picture took

It’s all in the book

Of the Asperger’s 

Better on paper

Than I am in words

The quiet nerd

Too soft to be heard

That’s the Asperger’s

Uncertain of my path 

Still not good at math 

Always fearing the wrath

Of the Asperger’s 

Panic when there’s mess

Unable to get dressed 

Overwhelmed and stressed

Depressed

I regress

The less than nice side

Of the Asperger’s

Sense of humor

Self awareness 

On stage is when I’m fearless

The secret weapon

Of the Asperger’s
